About PDRNpedia
Evidence-focused, independent, and transparent
PDRNpedia is an independent research site dedicated to explaining PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) and polynucleotide skincare. We translate clinical research into plain language so you can make informed decisions about Korean skincare products.
PDRNpedia provides educational information only. We are not doctors, dermatologists, or medical professionals. Nothing on this site is medical advice. Always consult a licensed clinician before undergoing injectable treatments (including PDRN/PN injections). If you have skin conditions, allergies, or are pregnant or nursing, speak with a healthcare provider before using new skincare products.
Our Editorial Standards
Every article on PDRNpedia is researched and written following these principles:
- Primary sources first. We cite peer-reviewed clinical studies, not blog posts or brand marketing. When we say "PDRN works for X," we link to the actual research.
- Distinguish injectable vs. topical. Injectable PDRN (used in clinics) has strong clinical evidence. Topical PDRN (in serums and creams) has much weaker evidence. We never conflate the two.
- No affiliate bias. We may earn affiliate commissions from product links, but this does not influence which products we recommend or how we rate them. We would rather tell you a $15 serum works similarly to an $80 one than push the expensive option.
- Update regularly. Skincare research evolves. We review and update articles when new studies are published or when products are reformulated.
- Transparent about uncertainty. If the evidence is weak or conflicting, we say so. We do not oversell PDRN as a miracle ingredient.
Who We Are
PDRNpedia is run by skincare researchers and writers who follow Korean beauty trends closely. We have tested dozens of PDRN-containing products (serums, creams, masks) and consulted dermatologists who use PDRN and polynucleotide injectables in their clinics.
We started this site because most English-language content about PDRN is either brand-sponsored or overly technical. We wanted a clear, honest resource for English-speaking skincare enthusiasts curious about Korean PDRN products.
How We Research
For each topic, we:
- Search PubMed, Google Scholar and Korean research databases for clinical studies on PDRN and polynucleotides.
- Read ingredient lists (INCI) for every product we review.
- Check whether a product contains PDRN (short fragments) or PN (longer chains) — marketing often blurs the two.
- Look for user reviews on independent platforms, not just brand websites.
- Consult dermatologists or cosmetic chemists when the science is complex.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not provide medical advice or treatment recommendations.
- We do not accept payment to rank products higher.
- We do not claim topical PDRN products have the same effects as injectable PDRN (they do not).
- We do not promote unproven "miracle" ingredients or anti-ageing hype.
